I’m a bit of a “stick in the mud”. I do most of my work using a conventional PC and I’m used to seeing my work and others’ work on a 17-inch screen, in fact, a pair of them side by side. But I do get frustrated when I am away from my PC with time on my hands and things to see and read and do which involve the Web. Therefore, I find myself using my mobile phone and a tablet I use to read my morning newspaper more and more to look at things on the web.
All this started me thinking about the problems associated with the production of content which may be viewed easily on different sizes of screen. I know a little about HTML and various scripting languages and can see how pages can be made to size and reorganise differently according to the size of the screen on which they are being viewed. From what I have seen the coding and all the logic is horrendous. However, it seems that there are Themes for use with WordPress which seem to be able to take care of the problem for us and I came across this video below which discusses the problem.
I hope you find it interesting and would be interested in your thoughts about the various solutions available which you may have tried or researched. Anyway to start the thought process if this is not something you have considered have a look at the brief video below.
Sorry, this video is no longer available, it has disappeared which is a pity. I shall replace the link soon.
